OK, Sports fans I've got some new batteries in my camera and some spares as well so I can take some pictures of the Pigtails Run 50K. Between very cold temperatures and weak batteries I didn't get many good shots at the Capital Peak Run. Since this weekends course is basically a crushed gravel service road we won't have the scenic splendor afforded from our recent Mt. trail runs. I have seen some wildlife such as deer on this course before. To clarify for the sake of my friends like Rob, the deer were the four legged version. Hopefully I'll come away with some treasured photos that I can share with all of you. Perhaps I'll record my screams when I take my ice bath after the race.
Michelle, Jenny, Steve, and Patch will be running at Pigtails Run tomorrow too!
I'll be cheering for the Chicago Bears on Sunday during the Superbowl. I'm thinking my pre-game warmup will be a lot of laying around resting my tired legs.
