What better way to end the year than starting your morning out with a nice 26.2 mile trail run? Rob, Michelle, Steve, Margaret, Jane, Ray, Myself, and about 70 others will be running the "Last Chance Marathon" in Bellingham Washington tomorrow. Apparently the course has been altered due to a mudslide which will increase the mileage above the marathon distance but what the heck!
Rob and Steve are going to be my pacers for WS100 so we plan on running the race together as a long slow run. We are guessing about a 4:15 - 4:30 depending on the climbs. It will give me a chance to work on my new standup comedy act with these guys. Hmmm, maybe that's why they were talking about bringing thier I-Pods.
Bellingham is where Michelle and I went to College and nearby the towns that we both grew up in. It's a college town (Western Washington University) with it's primary industry being logging, commercial fishing, and serves as an international port. A few of us will be staying with Michelle's parents tonight so we can get a couple of extra hours of sleep before the run. Hopefully my evil mother-in-law with the horns and the evil hiss will be on good behavior since we will have guests. (Just kidding Donna). he he he.
I'll report back on how the run went on New Years Day in between the Resolution Run and football games.
If you have not noticed the words of wisdom on my sidebar take a min. to read them. Thanks
Run like a maniac!

Nobody's gonna believe me when I say my Mom really isn't that bad. Really. And I am nothing like her, right honey? I am a paragon of sweetness, good cheer and light. Right, honey?
Tomorrow's gonna be fun. I still want to know if I can call it an ultra if it goes over 26.2?
Yes Dear, whatever you say honey. I was wrong, yes I am listening to you. No those pants don't make you look fat. :-)
I hope the race goes well tomorrow.
You two make me smile. I'm sitting her at my (step) mother-in-law's house as I read about your's. I just had to laugh.
Have a great race tomorrow!!! I LOVE Bellingham. I spent a week there a few years back and it sold me on Pacific Nortwest living. If I ever move from Hawaii I'll be heading towards your neck of the woods.
Now I'll make sure my i-pod is handy when I need it. Haven't I heard most of your material by now?
Have a great run! What a good way to end the year.
I hope you had a great run! Happy New Year!
