That which does not kill you makes you stronger - Neitzsche
OK, I'm in the process of trying to sort out my upcoming races that I want to participate in. I'll be honest and say that I'm actually considering an attempt at CCC 100. Why wouldn't I? I love climbing down steep sections that require ropes to get you to the trail below.
I've been running short 5-6 mile runs this week and really feeling tired during the runs. Today was a bit better as I went out slow with Rick from our Y-Run Club and just cruised through 6 miles. I felt best during the last mile.
I've included some pictures from the race in order of when they were taken. The first few shots are from the days prior to the race and then some of race day.
I don't know if I invented this new saying along the way or if I heard if from someone but I've got a new term to describe an ugly finish - Closed Casket Finish. I'll take a CCF anytime.

Nice pics. Who's this Dirty Girl Gaiter connection?
Great pictures! I think CCC sounds like a great idea. : )
Great pics. I wonder will the spirit take a bit longer to heal than the legs? Probably not if you're planning the next one! Hugs to you Eric!
Welcome back! I'll be interested to hear your plans.
Great photos! Glad to hear your thinking of CCC! Have fun! See you soon.

I'm glad you're starting to recover! Can't wait to see what you'll take on next. :)
Hee hee!
Already planning another shot?
Nice pics!

Great photos (especially that last one- it's beautiful!) As showing of my newbie status, I'm not sure what CCC is. Time to google :D. In any event, planning another one sounds like fun! It'll be exciting to see your next venture, whatever you choose :)
Great pics Eric! I laughed my ass off with the one of Twiet asleep at the finish line. He looks so peaceful.
I knew you'd think of CCC:) I even gave you a hint at MM, didn't I, though you probably weren't reading. Get Steve and go for it.
You better think fast Eric. CCC100 miler is filling up fast! I was going to wait until after WR50 but I didn't want to miss out. FYI CCC is harder!
Eric, nice to see you're back on the horse! Might as well extend all that good training for another couple of months. That's my plan.
Let me know if you're interested in 12 summits, CCC course, etc.

I think you go for CCC100 to make up for Western States. This is not gentle treading, but then you do not need excessive care. Your dreams are stronger than that.
Your dreams are stronger than us.
awesome pix, Eric, thanks. Hope your legs keep coming back
