Quick Report: Just got home from the race with a belt buckle! Time: 28:51 which put me in 36th place overall. Lots of fun with Steve my pacer and the Y-Run Club who was out in force to man the Hyak AS. I'll get a full race report out in the next couple of days. Suffice to say that many runners dropped due the cold temperatures and rain. I was cold and shivering for about 54 miles. I had lots of "Hester Joy"

So glad I was able to see you finish! You looked like you had tons of energy! It was so cute to see you and Michelle holding hands while running towards the finish!
Big Congrats! Looking forward to reading your report.
TOP NOTCH Performance Eric! Congratulations on starting and finishing the 100 mile journey and walking away with a buckle from CCC100! Enjoy the moment.
Congrats Eric!! (I was the one who sent a photo to you of you sitting in the river afer Cap Peak 50M.) Great job sticking with it through the cold and rain!
Eric - Congratulations for sticking it out through all miserable wetness and coldness. You looked so happy coming across that finish line!
Congratulations Eric. Looking forward to the details.
Yay!!!! Congratulations on the awesome job :D I'm so happy to hear that you did so well and can't wait to hear the full story :)
Hope you're relaxing and enjoying a lovely post race glow!
Wahooooo!!
YAAAAY, ERIC! Sonya called while she was on the way home and told me about the miserable weather. You're a running machine, both mentally and physically tough. I'm so happy for you, and I can't wait to see the BLING!
Yeah!! So psyched for you! "cold and shivering for 54 miles" --sounds BRUTAL. Hope you're warm, toasty and relaxed right now.
Congratulations Eric, I had a good feeling about the race, you were primed!
YEAH! Oh, I'm so happy and I can't wait to hear all about it! Recover well!

So happy for you Eric...what a monumental goal you have now achieved!!
I just read Michelle's report...awesome to get this done in that weather. Mental Toughness, indeed.
Sleep well!!!
Great work Eric. Now you're going to have to change the name of your blog.
LoL
Congratulations, Eric, what a way to go on such a tough course. I've read Michelle's version of events, now I can't wait for yours. I hope your "Journey to a Centum" isn't complete, though.
Excellent job out there, Trail Scat!
If there were an appropriate asterisk to put next to finishing the race this year it would be how cold and miserable it was out there and what strength it took to continue forward. You had the strength and determination to make your way along a trecherous and difficult path all the way to the finish. Congratulations!
Way to get this monkey off your back, Eric! Very happy for you, man, great run, you did awesome, and your crew indeed was perfect! I hope now you are as sick as many of us and will be looking for another soon:) Congrats!
'Atta Boy, Eric! Not only finishing, but in 36th place. I'm so impressed. Great job!
Well done! I was thinking about you all weekend - and we've never even met. You had lots of people rooting for you, my friend. Knew you could to it.
Enjoy that belt buckle. You've earned it.
Looking forward to the details.
As Olga said, glad you got that monkey off your back. Nice race - way to hang in there. Your spirits were up when I saw you and knew you would finish.

Oh Congrats Eric!
Way to go, Eric!! I never doubted you for a second. Can't wait for the report.

Nice! Congrats and happy belated Birthday!
Your taper stories were a fun read, looking forward to the full report.
Congratulations on finishing this tough and fabulous race, Eric! It was great to see you and Michelle at the start and finish....and at mile 80. Check out my blog for a link to my photos from the race. There are many of you!
YAY!!! I'm so happy for you. I was looking forward to the "I Finished it" post!!! How nice you could share w/ family as well :)
Congratulations, Eric! You and Michelle both amaze me! I look forward to your race report. :)
Awesome job, Eric!!!!
Great job! I saw the Leadville Trail 100 in 2001 and the winner came in in 18 hours and change. He spent the next 2 hours huddled on a park bench near the finish line under a space blanket while his worried wife made countless cell phone calls next to him. Then he got up and left. And this was the winner. I was awestruck.
Congrats on the finish! Can't wait to read your race report.
Hey there, Sparky!
I thought I would attach this for you:
"a couple of, more than two, but not many, of; a small number of; a few."
So, I think we're due for the full race report now. =)
Wow! Does that cover it?
Fantastic race - huge congratulations.... that is just such a big WOW!
great job eric. congratulations. eat an extra bowl of ice cream!
Hey Eric - are you gonna let Hester beat you to posting like that? Hurry up...I can't wait anymore! :)
Yeah, honey, where's your story? Your fans are getting restless, other races are starting...tell the tale!
Hey with my busy social calendar and paid appearances this week it's been tough to find the time to write it all up.
I'll share this sentence as a teaser: As I was being bitten on the ankle Steve yelled run! At mile 92 we were both running for our lives at the fastest pace I'd done during the race.
Great Job! You guys have one bad ass race up there.
