Breaking the Silence

I've been on a break from posting here on my blog but it's time to get back to it. I've had some really great runs that I've missed posting about and met a fellow blogger that also is a runner.

I'll soon post a video of some cougar tracks I came upon on one of my solo adventures in the Mountains and talk about what it was like to run two 50K's in one day with a drive in between that was 6 hours long. I'll even try to write a finish to my 13 marathons in 12 weeks adventure.

Michelle and I will be driving to Yakima in Eastern Washington to run the Yakima River Canyon Marathon this weekend. It is a scenic and serene point to point course. The RD has managed to have the highway that runs along the river closed to traffic with the exception of locals and an occasional fisherman. Yakima Marathon is home to the year end reunions for 50 State Club, 100 Marathon Club, and the Marathon Maniacs. Some participants are members of all three groups. Statistically this marathon probably has the highest average of marathons run per person than any other in the world. I've run 75 marathon or greater distance runs and I feel like a rookie rubbing shoulders with this group.

I've missed this outlet and the joy of reading postings about your adventures. I'll admit the evil facebook had me for a while but I'm established with it now and can get back to a more important and meaningful method of expressing myself and learning from your experiences.

Welcome back from the dark side! I don't do facebook and doubt I ever will, and I missed your posts in the meantime.

Welcome back! Looking forward to reading about your adventures. Nice teasers, by the way. ;) As for Crackbook - well, good luck resisting the lure.

Welcome back. Don't let it happen again... :) Facebook can not replace us!

13 marathons in 12 weeks. Do you run in your sleep? I would have to have a lot of beer to make that happen..lol! You are one serious hardcore person.

Best of luck this weekend.. not that you need it. Any race that can shutdown part of a highway must be a great one. Lots of pictures please.

I've missed your posts also. I think I caught part of your bug since I'm still working on my Orcas post!
